DJ Misfit Chicago Drum and Bass

Pulled the trigger on a firewire interface for my Macbook Pro - the t.c. electronic "desktop konnekt 6".  This little device is pretty wicked, allowing me to control my Behringer Truth studio monitors AND handle input from my mixer/turntables, guitar/amp, microphone, etc.

In addition, I am wall-mounting a Samsung 40" 1080p LCD, for various reasons.  One of those being gaming (XBox 360), and also to have a bigger workscreen for web projects, audio work, the Seesmic Desktop application, which lets me monitor multiple twitter feeds and facebook, etc.  Consider it the new "man cave", but it's a functioning studio and home office as well.

The point of all this is that I've really got no excuse for NOT putting out good music!

It's a bit frustrating to look at my home studio dismantled and in the closet, so to speak, but that is my current situation.  Work has been keeping me very busy but I hope to get things set back up.  On a positive note, I did repaint!

So, for those that don't know, I've recently stopped doing my weekly show on kunninmindz.com.  A combination of factors including work and commuting contributed to that particular date and time not working out for me.  Now, it is possible that I will step in for one-off shows when needed, but a weekly 2 hour slot was just too hard to pull off consistently.

On a positive note I am finally rebuilding the studio proper with the intent to put out a few tunes by early next year.  My focus will be primarily on the jazzier, mellow side of dnb but I'm not going to limit my production to just one genre.  DnB is not all I listen to ;)

Thank you to all the kunninmindz.com listeners over the past 2.5 years, you made it all worthwhile.

More kunninmindz live audio goodness!  Big shout to all the listeners and the lively chat room crew for keeping it fun, thanks for the support.  First hour filled with newer bits, then a dive into the old school, resurfacing to finish strong.

If you are even a casual fan of the Grand Theft Auto franchise, you must buy this game.  PS3 or XBOX360, the graphics are some of the best representation of the next gen consoles I've seen.  Rockstar implemented gameplay that borrows some of the traditional GTA, mixed with a bit of The Warriors, and mixed it up with a great initial foray into online multiplayer.  I've been dying for multiplayer on the GTA series for years, glad to see the Rockstar folks listened.
